Fish guts and more

table rock waves

Yes, you might step on a fish. Yes, you might get your head cut off by speeding boats. But that's all okay because the waves feel cool and wet on your little toes, and you're children, and this is what summers are for.

I believe the words "unsanitary" and "contaminants" were actually used by my ten-year-old. Yeesh!

Crazy city kids! That really cracks me up. I have unintentionally gulped, choked down, and inhaled not less than 3 gallons of Table Rock lake water in the course of my lifetime from swimming, water skiing, and inner tubing. Was it unsanitary and full of contaminants? Well, I HAVE peed in this same water. Did I live? I'm still here to tell the tales.

that's a beautiful photo. :) I'm from the South, so I'm used to swimming in dirty little unchlorinated lakes. LOL

During the summer of '75, I couldn't stick my toe into the Lake of the Ozarks because I was convinced there were sharks in there. Do you think I took "Jaws" to heart? Sharks in lake water make unsanitary water and contaminants look like a walk in the park!
